1.       Healthcare
If authorities invest $1000 in good education, people will likely lead a Healthy Lifestyle as a result.
Otherwise, as people are miseducated and likely to live an unhealthy lifestyle, that increases the cost of preventable diseases for society at a cost of $10,000.

2.       Public Safety
If $1,500 is invested in good education, people are most likely to be law abiding citizen. Otherwise, if people are miseducated, they are more likely to become a public safety liability that increases the cost of public safety to $15,000.

3.       Employment and social programs
If $2,000 is invested in good education, people will most likely get a meaningful job or start a business and pay taxes. Otherwise, with miseducation, people are likely to be unemployed and become a burden on social programs at a cost of $20,000.

4.        Culture
If $3000 is invested in good education, people will most likely nurture evidence-based ideals and value progress. Otherwise, miseducation fosters bigotry and superstitions and brings society backward.
The Cost? Regression.

5.       Legacy
If $3,500 is invested in good education, people will most likely make major contributions to society and have sustainable behaviour. Otherwise, with miseducation, they have unfulfilled potential and pass down their own failed practices to compound the burden to the next generation.
The cost: self-destruction.
